Allison E. Smith

Biography

Ms. Smith’s current legal practice focuses on education, labor and employment law.  She has represented school district clients in various matters before the Commissioner of Education, State and Federal courts, the New York Division of Human Rights and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights on issues including residency, teacher tenure, discrimination, harassment, bullying and special education. Ms. Smith gives presentations at seminars and workshops focusing on a variety of issues.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Smith worked for a management-side labor and employment firm. She has authored various published articles, and has been a contributing editor to “The Developing Labor Law” and “Employment Discrimination Law.”
