Laura Matlow Wong-Pan

Biography

Ms. Wong-Pan practices labor and employment law, representing employers in the public and private sectors during administrative proceedings and litigation, and contract negotiations. She also has extensive not-for-profit corporation law experience, providing advice to clients in areas of governance, compliance and formation, and she is a certified Mediator and Arbitrator.

Ms. Wong-Pan began her legal career as a Field Attorney at the National Labor Relations Board, litigating and monitoring union elections. She was an associate with a NYC-based labor and employment law firm and, after relocating to the Hudson Valley, was a Senior Assistant County Attorney for the Orange County Government, providing legal advice to the County Executive, and advising the Empire Zone and Foreign Trade Zone Boards on legal and governance issues. She is a frequent lecturer on municipal, employment, and not-for-profit law issues for National Business Institute, school districts and other organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Hudson Women’s Bar Association and the Wallkill Valley Land Trust. She is a former member of the Town of Gardiner ZBA.
