Biography
STEVEN L. BANKS obtained his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law. His legal practice has primarily focused on litigation on behalf of public colleges and universities, as well as various other state agencies, in matters pertaining to employment discrimination claims, disability rights, special education, and constitutional rights. He has extensive experience representing clients in the federal and state court systems. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Banks served as an Assistant Attorney General in the New York State Department of Law for more than twenty years, where he received the Louis J. Lefkowitz Award for outstanding performance from two different New York State Attorneys General.
